Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the ACNA Announces New Assisting Bishop
As many of you know, our fellow ministry, The Anglican Mission in the Americas, often known as AMiA, is in the midst of refocusing as a missionary society. . . .
After fruitful negotiations, Archbishop Duncan has extended an offer for any of the bishops who left Rwanda to become part of ACNA under the appropriate diocesan bishops, serving as assisting bishops delegated to care for the parishes that had been under their charge as needs be.
The Rt. Rev. John E. Miller III of Melbourne, Florida, one of the bishops who consecrated me, has therefore requested to be received into this diocese. This is a temporary pastoral measure both for Bishop Miller and his parishes until the larger situation in AMiA is sorted out. He is a very committed, capable bishop and pastor, known and loved by many here in Florida.
I wanted to let you know that I will therefore be accepting Bishop Miller as an Assisting Bishop here as soon as I receive final confirmation of his transfer from the archbishop of Rwanda. . . .

Dynamos Discerning a Call to Ordained MinistryGod is raising up men and women to ordained leadership in His Church! What a privilege it is to walk alongside those who are discerning this call as this discernment happens within the context of the local parish as well as in the Diocese. The goal of the Discernment Process for Ordained Ministry in the Gulf Atlantic Diocese is to be thorough, yet flexible. Here you will be able to find the materials you need to take the next step - whether you are a layperson discerning a call, a Rector, a member of the Parish Discernment Team, a Vestry person, or in Diocesan leadership. |
