- passionate and inspiring Biblically-based teacher and preacher who can apply the relevance of Scripture to contemporary issues
- loves people and has a heart for pastoral care
- conducts worship in such a way that the congregation recognizes that the Holy Spirit is present and active in worship and community
- possesses a passion and resolve to reaching out to young families in the community and leading the lost to Jesus Christ
- strong practitioner in discipleship training, teaching and leading parishioners to be more effective disciples of Jesus Christ
- have a desire to implement a midweek ministry in some fashion
Christ The King adheres to the Gulf Atlantic Diocese’s Compensation and Benefits Guidelines for a rector. The comprehensive benefits package includes retirement contribution; health, dental and vision insurance; group life insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; and funding for continuing education. Time is provided for annual leave, continuing education, and sabbatical leave.

The Pastor will serve as the primary leader of the church, training the Ministry Team leaders to do the work of ministry, while being advised by the elected Vestry. The Pastor is responsible for spiritual education, programs, sacramental duties, use of facility, and hiring and firing of all paid and volunteer staff. With these responsibilities, the Pastor has full authority over each of these areas, and will run the day to day business of the church within the budgetary limitations provided by the Vestry. The Pastor is accountable to the members of the church and the oversight of the Bishop.
