Godly Play Core Training

Church of the Apostles is excited to host a Godly Play Core Training from Friday, August 18–Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Fairhope, AL. This training is for anyone invested in nurturing the spiritual lives of children. Whether you’re new to Godly Play or a seasoned Godly Player, you are invited to join us as we explore the theology of childhood and deepen our own understanding of the language of the Christian faith.. Our weekend together will not only bring us closer to the work that we love but it will also deepen our own spiritual lives. This is both a training as well as a spiritual retreat. We will learn together, pray together, and grow together. Come play with us!

Also, please read Teaching Godly Play: How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children by Jerome Berryman. Attendees are encouraged to complete a Core Training Assignment, which is a wonderful way to help us prepare for our weekend together.
